Services:  Home visits to young parents to assist with parent education and early information for developmental markers for the child through age 3; parenting groups, information and referral

Hours of operation:  Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm; evening groups and activities as scheduled

Services:  Home visits to families to provide hands on help to prevent abuse and neglect of children and teach parents skills for parenting and for daily living (such as budgetary, cleaning, health care)

Services:  Counseling and case management for pregnant and parenting teens and young adults through age 23; adoption counseling

Cerebral Palsy of Eastern MA – Early Intervention Partnerships Program

Services:  A home visiting program for pregnant women and new mothers to give women the help, support, and resources they need to have a healthy and safe pregnancy, birth, and first year with their baby

Ages Served:  Pregnant women or women with an infant younger than 2 months

Languages Served:  Services provided in each family’s primary language 

Eligibility restrictions:  Must be a pregnant woman or new mother living in and around Lynn who:  is dealing with stress, smoking, homelessness, depression, substance abuse, or violence; has a current or previous high risk pregnancy; needs to find prenatal care; or is a teenager having her second or third baby

Fees: Services to families are free, paid for by the MA Dept. of Public Health and MassHealth

Hours of operation:  General business hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm; flexible home visiting schedules can often be arranged

Other Information:  Anyone can make a referral to the program.  Services provided by a team including a nurse, community health workers, and social workers

JOI Childcare Center – Young Parenting Program

Services:  Child care for parents while attending school as continuing education is strongly encouraged; parenting classes and support groups offered; transportation offered

Services:  14-week program simultaneously providing parenting skills, child life skills, and family life skills groups; program includes incentive program and weekly family meals; transportation and childcare provided as needed

Ages Served: Adults and their children between ages 6 to 11     Languages Served:  English, Espanol

Eligibility restrictions:  Parents must have history of substance abuse issues; parents and their children must participate in the program

Fees:  None

Hours of operation: Enrollments in the program Monday through Friday by appointment; group sessions held on Saturdays 

 

Serving People in Need (SPIN) – Teen Living Program

Services:  Parenting program and teen pregnancy/parenting services are addressed through a variety of teen parenting focused groups held each weeknight, as well as case management services 

Ages Served: Child bearing age to 20.5 years   Languages Served:  All

Eligibility restrictions:  Must be referred by Department of Transitional Assistance or Department of Social Services

Fees:  30% of monthly income

Hours of operation:  24 hours per day, 7 days per week

Other Information:  Residential teen living program for pregnant and/or parenting teens.  Teens work on independent living, parenting, and budgeting skills, housing, and education.

Services:  Counseling agency with over 25 years experience in the Lynn area.  Family, child, adolescent, individual, and group counseling; mediation services for divorce or family issues

Ages Served: 5 years to adult            Languages Served:  English, Spanish can be arranged

Fees:  Self-pay, $110 for intake/$90 per session; Blue Cross, Harvard Pilgrim, Fallon, Aetna insurances accepted

Hours of operation:  Monday to Thursday, 9:00am - 5:15pm, Fridays, 9:00am - 1:00pm; evenings by appointment

Other Information:  Easily accessible by car or public transportation; ample free parking available
