CAB Health and Recovery Services – Detoxification Services                  Website:  www.cabhealth.org

Services:  Inpatient detoxification for alcohol and other drug dependence.  If a bed is available, a brief medical screening will be conducted to insure detoxification is needed. 

Languages Served:  English, Espanol

 

Fees:  Most insurances are accepted (including Medicaid).  If not, there will be a referral to a program that accepts the individual’s insurance plan.

Hours of operation:  24 hour care

Services:  Intensive outpatient program for men and women; group and individual counseling available; meet mornings and evenings to accommodate all; very structured program, particularly effective for post-detox clients who do not want to enter a halfway house

Eligibility restrictions: Need to undergo intake proces

Fees:  All insurances accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare

Hours of operation: Mornings (9:00am - 12:00pm) or evenings (6:00pm - 9:00pm)

 

CAB Health and Recovery Services – Methadone Maintenance Program

Services:  Counseling, group support, and daily individualized treatment for opiate addiction.  Three treatment options available, including short term (30 day) outpatient methadone detox, long term (180 day) outpatient methadone detox, or maintenance.

Eligibility restrictions: Each client must first undergo an intake process

Fees:  Most insurances accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare; sliding scale fees if without insurance

Services:  Outpatient substance abuse treatment, including services for youth, women, DWI offenders, and family therapy groups for families and friends. Also includes special programs such as gamblers and aftercare prison groups.

Eligibility restrictions: Each client must first undergo an intake process

Fees:  Most insurances accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare; sliding scale fees if without insurance

Hours of operation:  Monday to Friday, starting at 8:00am, many evening groups available

Other Information:  Free parking available.  The program serves all of the North Shore, from East Boston to Cape Ann

Services:  Two structured halfway house programs, one for men and one for women.  Residents are able to work and attend groups.  Referrals accepted from other agencies and hospitals

Fees:  Funding provided by the Department of Public Health, Medicaid and Medicare

Hours of operation:  24 hours per day

Fees:  Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Medicare accepted; fees negotiable where appropriate 

Hours of operation:  Mondays, 10:30am - 4:00pm; Tuesdays 10:00am - 8:30pm; every other Wednesday, 12:00pm - 7:00pm

Other Information:  Experience and training in stress management and also offer a women’s issues support group

Services:  Substance abuse and dual diagnosis outpatient counseling and medication services, including evaluation, individual, group and family counseling, substance abuse education and medication services for adults, adolescents, and elders.  Clinical specialization includes persons dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders.  Services also available in Everett and Wakefield.

Hours of operation:  Call for appointment.  Scheduled appointments are available weekdays and evenings
